Recently, NVIDIA announced the removal of Activision Blizzard games from its GeForce Now platform. This happened abruptly with little to no explanation as to why this was happening.
On February 14th, Bloomberg reported that NVIDIA blames "misunderstanding" for why Activision Blizzard removed their games.
Reason for the misunderstanding? Because Activision Blizzard participated in the GeForce Now beta, and they assumed that they wanted to be in the launch as well.
“Activision Blizzard has been a fantastic partner during the GeForce Now beta, which we took to include the free trial period for our founders membership,” Nvidia said in a statement. “Recognizing the misunderstanding, we removed their games from our service, with hope we can work with them to re-enable these, and more, in the future.”
So, hopefully in the future we will see Activision Blizzard games back on the GeForce Now platform. But until then, games like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and many more will not be available to play on the GeForce Now platform.
As they say when you assume things...
