Crayta will soon be leaving the Google Stadia nest, according to its developers, Unit 2 Games. Initially a Stadia exclusive, Unit 2 Games has confirmed that Crayta will be making its way to PC "very soon."
In the announcement, we are told that a PC release is coming very soon and that more information is soon to come. "We'll be confirming the launch date and our chosen store over the next few weeks, but in the meantime we thought the promise of an influx of new players would give all you creators even more incentive to get stuck into adding more Creator Challenges to your games, or maybe adding new features or extra polish," said NatLG_Spark on their Discord server.
They also state that Unit 2 Games will continue to be committed to Stadia and that the PC version will offer cross-play with the Stadia version. This is excellent news as the PC players will be able to jump right into playing games created by Stadia users, and Stadia game creators will have a new influx of PC players to try out and play their games!
Crayta was one of the first games to adopt Stadia's State Share technology. This allowed players to jump directly into a game created in Crayta through a link published by game creators. This technology will most likely be exclusive only to the Stadia version of Crayta. However, it makes me wonder if something similar will be released for the game's PC version?
