This November, Minecraft Dungeons will be receiving a free update that will allow for cross-play between different devices. This will let those on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One to be able to play the game with each other.

Along with the cross-play update announcement, during the Minecraft Live 2020 event, Mojang Studios announced that the next DLC is on its way. The Howling Peaks DLC will drop in December of this year, and it will bring a new boss, the Tempest Golem, and a new location with it.

Hello there hero, adventure calls once again! Dangerous mobs, new gear, and the power of the wind itself, all await you atop perilous peaks!

For those who do not want to purchase the DLC, a free update will drop new challenges with the Apocolypse Plus difficulties coming in December. This update will add 20 new difficulties after the Apocolypse VII difficulty, and it "increases the characters' power ceiling, and adds new enchantments and items."
