If you are into modding your games, you may have already noticed that people have been modding Cyberpunk 2077 for quite some time now. However, these tools should make it easier for modders to mod the game more efficiently.
The modding support tools can be found over on Cyberpunk's official website. Be careful, though; the website is rather blinding in color!
CD Projekt Red has mentioned that the "[t]ools will be continuously updated alongside with game patches to ensure compatibility."
The available tools are as followed:
- Metadata - Per game release, required by some of the tools
- ArchiveDump - A utility for listing contents of game data archives
- TweakDump - A utility for listing contents of game Tweak DB (game settings) binaries
- TweakDB IDs - A list of IDs of Tweak DB entries. Generated using TweakDump and tweakdb.str metadata
The list of tools currently available appears to be limited. Currently, it seems that you can only download the game's metadata and some tools to get the game's data and settings.
Hopefully, these tools can help current modders fine-tune their mods. Until we see more utilities and tools, we will probably not see a large influx of modders for Cyberpunk 2077.
