Named Season of the Chosen, the next season for Destiny 2 will begin on February 9th, 2021, and will run until May 11th.
In the announcement, which can be found over at Bungie's website, we are given a roadmap of what we can expect to see during the upcoming season. Players will be able to partake in the Behemoth and Hailstone Battlegrounds, which are three-player matchmade activities that have players band together to take down Caiatl's best warriors. Alongside the new Battlegrounds, the Devil's Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. strikes are available at the beginning of the season. Both of which are from the original Destiny game. Lastly, a new strike will become available for guardians, called Proving Grounds, later.
So we get Battlegrounds and strikes, but what else? On the same day the new season begins, players will be able to start a new quest for a new Stasis Aspect. This will allow players to customize their characters subclass further.
Continuing with the roadmap, on February 12th, the new Trials season will begin. The new Trials of Osiris will come with a new set of armor and weapons.
February 16th marks the beginning of the Cleansing Battleground, followed by the Iron Banner's return and the Oracle Battleground on February 23rd. These two Battlegrounds are the final two added in this season.
On March 23rd, Season Pass holders will gain early access to the Proving Grounds strike, with everyone else gaining access on March 30th.
We see Iron Banner on April 13th and the Guardian Games beginning on April 20th and running until May 9th. The closing ceremony for the Guardian Games will run from May 7th to the 9th, closing out Season 13.
