Fortnite's Season 4 finale sees record number of attendees

Fortnite always holds an epic closure to each of its seasons. This time, we saw the end of Season 4, which involved battling against the Marvel Super Villan, Galactus. This event, like many others, has been well received, and it even broke records!

Epic Games has announced that the event had a record 15.3 million concurrent players participate in the battle against Galactus. In addition to this number, 3.4 million people tuned in to watch the event on YouTube and Twitch.

We defeated him! A record 15.3 million concurrent players joined forces in our biggest event ever to fight back Galactus in today's in-game event, while more than 3.4 million cheered and watched on @YouTubeGaming and @Twitch!

This beats out the record set in Fortnite's last season-ending of 12 million players!

The event had players fight against Galactus while piloting the infamous Battle Bus to shoot down the titan's drones. This battle marked the end of Season 4 and the current Marvel collaboration. However, it does open up a new partnership with Disney's The Mandalorian!

Fortnite's popularity appears to be holding firm, and with the collaborations with popular IP's, it is safe to say that Epic Games is doing a great job at keeping Fortnite both unpredictable and entertaining all at the same time!
