Horizon Zero Dawn's developers, Guerrilla Games, has said that they will slow the pace of updates for the PC port of the game. This is so that they can focus on their next game, Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Zero Dawn was initially a PlayStation exclusive, becoming available on PC in 2020. However, the PC port of the game was rather... lackluster. The PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn was riddled with bugs and issues.
Guerrilla Games has been working hard to release hotfixes and patches to help alleviate the PC port's issues. This includes the most recent patch 1.10.
"As our team continues development on our upcoming title Horizon Forbidden West, we are shifting to less frequent updates for Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC after this patch. Please note that we will continue to monitor our community spaces as always!" said Guerrilla Games in a statement on their website.
The shift of resources from their old game to the new game is entirely understandable, and hopefully, it helps prevent issues arising in their newest game on release. As you know, when games are rushed and lack resources, many are left disappointed.
