The Swedish mobile carrier, Telia, has announced a partnership with Microsoft. This partnership is targeted explicitly to Microsoft's Xbox Game Streaming services.

The partnership will start with bolstering Xbox Cloud Gaming in Sweden, utilizing Telia's 4G and 5G networks to offer high-speed cloud gaming for its users.

"With powerful services like Xbox Game Pass streamed over our high-speed mobile networks, our customers can access AAA console games not previously available on mobile devices. And this is just the start. This partnership is a glimpse into the future where we leverage computing resources in the cloud with 5G to reinvent how we deliver exciting new gaming experiences to mobile devices, without the need for dedicated gaming hardware", says Henrik Lönnevi, Chief Commercial Officer, Consumer at Telia Sweden.

With this partnership, Telia will be offering its customers a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This will allow them to try out Cloud Gaming directly on their mobile device.

"We are very excited about this partnership with Telia. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offers a curated library of over 100 high-quality games with new games added every month that you can play on Xbox consoles, Windows 10 PCs, and your Android mobile phone or tablet from the cloud. We're excited to show off some of the great titles available via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Swedish customers", says Nicholai Hamre, Xbox Category Lead at Microsoft.

Telia will also be offering a limited-time deal to new customers that choose to sign up for a consumer mobile subscription and a selected Android Smartphone. This limited deal includes the free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a Razer Kishi controller for the phone.
