Today, Amazon has announced quite a few new things coming to their Cloud Gaming platform.

Nearly a year ago, Amazon announced early access for their Cloud Gaming service, Amazon Luna. With it, the service offered "Channels." These Channels are similar to that of how Cable TV channels work. Gamers could subscribe to a Channel of games they wanted to play for a monthly subscription fee.

Since its launch, Amazon has offered two channels. Amazon's own Luna+ channel and the Ubisoft+ Channel.

Today that changes, as Amazon announces upcoming channels, features, device bundles, and more!

New Channels

In today's announcement. Amazon unveils the new Family Channel.

This channel will offer carefully curated games that are appropriate for the whole family. Games such as SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, Space Otter Charlie, DreamWorks Dragons: Dawn of New Riders, and more will be available to play.

Currently, the channel offers more than 35 games at a $2.99 per month subscription fee!

Amazon also announces a planned "retro-gaming channel." The channel is not currently available, but it will focus on classic, arcade-style games from publishers like Atari, SNK, and more.

More Games

As time goes on, Amazon continues to add games to their current Luna+ Channel. Currently, the channel includes more than 95 games that cater to every type of gamer.

You can find games such as SMITE, Mega Man 11, Control, DICE Legacy, DiRT 5, and many more. The full list of available games can be found here.

Luna Couch

Today also marks the release of Luna Couch.

Luna Couch is marketed as a way to play games with your friends, even if they are not in the same location as you. With Amazon Luna, you will be able to invite friends to play games with you through a link to play games together, as if you were playing multiplayer locally.

Do you want to know what the best part of Luna Couch is? Your friends do not need to be Luna Subscribers to play games with you!

New Device Bundles

New device bundles are just around the corner for Amazon Luna.

For $99, you can get your hands on a Fire TV Stick 4K Max + Luna Controller bundle, allowing you to play your games directly on your TV! In addition, Amazon touts that the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is 40% faster than the previous generation Fire TV Stick, and it supports Wifi 6.

Amazon is also offering tablet bundles with the Luna Controller. For a limited-time discount, you can get your hands on one of these bundles.

And, for a limited time, the Luna Controller is currently on sale as well!

7-days free for Prime Members

Lastly, Amazon mentions that Amazon Prime members will be able to try Amazon Luna out for free over the next seven days. So from September 9th to September 15th, if you are a Prime Member, you can play these four games for free without needing to request Luna Early Access.

After these seven days, you will need to request early access and hope that you can get in!
