Guess what day it is?
It is Thursday!
And you know what that means?
GFN Thursdays, baby!!!
One of the features that NVIDIA announced is the preloading feature.
Currently available with Founders and Priority members for testing, the preloading feature will load parts of a game before you arrive so that the game will launch faster.
NVIDIA states that this should allow members testing this feature to notice game sessions launching up to a minute faster.
However, free members are not guaranteed the new preloading feature and will expect the same, or longer, session load times.
This new feature will allow you to link your account to a game, so you do not have to log into your game store account.
Account linking is currently available for Fortnite's PC build on GeForce Now, along with the preloading feature.
NVIDIA hopes to expand these features to other games in the future.
Improved Search Results
And, it is about to get even better.
GeForce Now search results have been improved, allowing for full-page search results, which will provide "easier access to the game's details and a quicker way to add it to your library."
In-game overlay for Chrome browser
NVIDIA has recently added the ability to use the in-game overlay on games through the Chrome browser.
This overlay feature will allow members to configure in-stream features such as FreeStyle filters, network labels, microphone toggles, and ending your game session.
The overlay is available on PC and Chromebook by pressing CTRL + G and CMD + G for macOS.
New Games coming to GeForce Now
Lastly, a GFN Thursday would not be complete without a list of new games coming to the platform!
This time, we are getting seven new games that will be available to play this week.
The games are:
- R-Type Final 2 (day-and-date release on Steam)
- Chinese Parents (Steam)
- Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition (Epic Games Store)
- The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos (Epic Games Store)
- GoNNER (Epic Games Store)
- SOMA (Epic Games Store)
- Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair (Epic Games Store)
Nothing too spectacular, but new games nonetheless.
