New Shadow hardware may be on the horizon!

Octave Klaba, the new owner of Shadow, mentioned in reply to a tweet that new hardware may be coming to Shadow sooner rather than later.

In the translated tweet, it looks like Klaba and Shadow have been testing the RTX A4K and RTX A6K's in server configurations for Shadow. These Enterprise GPUs will be equivalent to the RTX 3070 and RTX 3090, respectively.

Klaba also mentions that they are planning to proof out an RTX A2K configuration, which is equivalent to the RTX 3060, but they are unsure if they will use it for the consumer-facing Shadow.

Because we are relying on Google Translate for this message, the wording could be off. If you know French and want to confirm anything, feel free to comment below!

However, based on the translation, I am unsure if the new server configurations are planned to be released this September/October or if they will enter an "alpha" stage for select consumers.

Either way, it is good to see that they are nearing the completion of new hardware configurations. Unfortunately, when Shadow filed for bankruptcy and had to drop the Ultra/Infinite plans, many were upset and left the service. So, hopefully, these updates will bring the service back to its former glory!

Due to Shadow mentioning that they have no plans to bring back the Ultra and Infinite tiers and will be sticking to a single offering, it would be interesting to see what they do with the new hardware.

However, like usual, only time will tell! And I hope it will tell good things.
