Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games' wild west RPG, has gotten a decent following for its Online Multiplayer part of the game, Red Dead Online. Because of this following, Rockstar Games has decided to create a standalone version of Red Dead Online.
For those who are not interested in purchasing the full game, you will be able to get into the Online world of Red Dead for $5 starting December 1st. This will be a special introductory price, as the game will become $20 on February 15th, 2021.
You will also be able to purchase the Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode as an additional add-on in-game if you ever want to play the single-player campaign made available in the original game.
Red Dead Online will be available to purchase for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Games Launcher. It can also be played on next-gen consoles thanks to backward compatibility. Be wary of storage space, though, as the game will require upwards of 123GB of storage.
Rockstars announcement also mentions that they will be expanding on Red Dead Online's Bounty Hunter role in an update that will be landing next week. This update will include new criminals to hunt and new gear and skills to obtain.
