Risk of Rain 2 will be leaving Early Access on August 11th and officially launching. The game, which is the sequel to the popular 2D shooter Risk of Rain, will include a new character, a new stage, and a server browser on launch.

The new playable character will be called "The Captain," who will specialize in utility and damage functions. Sporting a shotgun, you will be able to summon probes and beacons to assist your team with armor boosts and healing.

In addition to the new character, you will be able to blast enemies in a new stage: The Moon. This stage will take you to the moon to battle lunar monsters and the games Final Boss.

You will also have access to new items, extra skill variants, additional lore, the server browser, and much more. When launched, the game's price will rise from $20 to $25, so if you are interested, you can take advantage of the lowered price over on Steam.
