Blizzard has announced that the next Hearthstone expansion will be titled "Scholomance Academy." This expansion will focus on witches and wizards and the introduction of a few new spell-based mechanics. In total, 135 new cards will be added, and it is set to release early August of this year.

The most prominent new mechanic being added to this expansion will be the introduction of dual-class cards. This means that a card could be both a Hunter and a Druid, allowing you to use their respective mechanics in the same card.

We will see 40 dual-class cards out of the 135 new cards being added in this expansion.

Another mechanic will be the Spellburst mechanic. This mechanic will be available on non-spell cards and activated the first time you play a spell after the card has been played.

Interesting new strategies are sure to develop around these new mechanics, and maybe even some top-tier decks that we may see in competition play!

The expansion is available to pre-purchase with the Scholomance Academy Pre-Purchase Bundle costing you $50, but it includes 55 packs, one random Golden Legendary from the set, and a Kel'Thuzad card back. If you want to pay more, you can get the Mega Bundle for $80. This bundle will get you 80 packs, five Scholomance Golden Card packs, a random Golden Legendary, a Kel'Thuzad Mage Hero, card back, and a Tavern Pass.

Will you be utilizing the new cards when they hit Hearthstone this August?
