Shadow has announced a new feature for its platform. The ability to use any controller with Shadow no matter if it is supported on Windows or not!

From a recent blog post from Shadow, "Whether it’s an Xbox One controller, DualShock 4 or that knock-off gamepad your grandma got you for Christmas - our objective is to always provide a better gaming experience. That’s why we’re bringing Extended Controller Support to Shadow so you can use any controller you like!"

What is Extended Controller Support?

According to Shadow, Extended Controller Support is the ability to use non-natively supported controllers on Shadow.

Through the use of in-house software, Shadow can detect when a controller is connected to the PC and install necessary drivers to run or emulate the controller successfully on your Shadow PC.

This allows for any controller to work on Shadow even if it is not officially supported on a Windows PC!

My Thoughts

I find this feature release as a huge step forward for Cloud Gaming. It gives those who have only played consoles the ability to make the switch to PC/Cloud Gaming whilst still using their favorite controller.

Another great update from Shadow, and hopefully they continue to release innovative features like this
