Originally revealed as a Steam and Stadia exclusive title, it has been announced that Tchia will no longer be coming to either Steam and Stadia. Instead, it will now be a PlayStation and Epic Games Store exclusive title.
Tchia, a tropical open-world adventure, allows players to climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat through a beautiful archipelago, all powered by a physics-driven sandbox system.
The game is inspired by New Caledonia, and many were excited about it being announced for Stadia.
Unfortunately, according to a series of Tweets from the game's official Twitter account, it sounds like the deal with Stadia fell through, and instead, the game was picked up by PlayStation and Epic Games.
No official reasoning was given as to why the partnership with Google did not work. Still, many have speculated that it could be due to recent changes on Stadia's end for how revenue is shared with developers.
It is sad to see a game not coming to Stadia. Hopefully, this changes in the future, and the game will make it onto the cloud gaming platform at a later date!
