Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, a prominent Video Game Industry analyst, announced some interesting information about Tencent's upcoming cloud gaming controller. It appears that it will have interchangeable parts tailored towards different types of games.
As you can see in the tweet, it looks like one of the controllers will be for traditional console/pc style games, while the other one appears to be tailored towards mobile games. This is likely because the Asian mobile game market has over 700m+ gamers.
In the Tweet thread, Ahmed mentions that unlike cloud gaming services in the west focusing on bringing an HD console experience to its consumers, the cloud gaming scene in Asia also includes a focus on mobile games.
The controller will help tailor towards both traditional games and mobile games through cloud gaming platforms.
This is an interesting controller design, but it makes perfect sense. However, at this time, we do not know how much it will cost, nor how well it will actually work.
