The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood will be coming to PC and Console this June

Bethesda has revealed that the next expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, titled "Blackwood," will be released in June of this year. June 1st for PC players and June 8th for console players.

The expansion is a prequel to the fourth Elder Scrolls' game, Oblivion. Players will be tasked with "uncovering the schemes of the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon." The Daedric Prince was the main antagonist of Oblivion.

Blackwood, which is set 800 years prior to the events of Oblivion, will include 30 hours of story content, in addition to the other content currently available in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Along with adding a new story and a new zone, the expansion will also bring a handful of new features for players to enjoy.

  • A new Companions System
  • A new 12-player Trial: Rockgrove
  • Oblivion Portals World Events
  • New Delves, public dungeons, world bosses, and stand-alone quests
  • Other updates and Quality-Of-Life improvements

Blackwood will be the second expansion in the Gates of Oblivion adventure. The first expansion being The Elder Scrolls Online: Flames of Ambition which is set to launch in March of this year.
