Cloud Gaming and game streaming services are starting to become rather popular these days. With platforms like Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Shadow pretty much setting the benchmark for what Cloud Gaming could be, there are still other companies out there that can put up a fight. One of those is Parsec.

Parsec is not, by itself, a cloud gaming service. Instead, it is a game streaming platform that integrates with a few options for Cloud Gaming. Parsec focuses on creating a game streaming platform that can be used on pretty much any device.

If you have a decent gaming rig at home, you can install Parsec on it and then turn it into your own game streaming device thanks to the multi-platform application that Parsec has created. It is honestly a cool piece of technology.

So, now to the meat of this post. It looks like Ubisoft has announced a partnership with Parsec. The details for the partnership are rather slim, but with Ubisoft's history with NVIDIA GeForce Now, they have something up their sleeves to make this partnership worthwhile.

"The streaming technology they have developed provides the players a new way to discover video games while providing an optimal quality of experience. With this deal, we are strengthening our streaming capabilities for our internal and player facing platforms." - St├ęphanie Perotti, VP Online Services, Ubisoft

This news also comes at the heels of a streaming event that was held by the two companies. At this event, journalists and players were able to give a go at Ubisoft's upcoming games Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion with the help of Parsec's streaming technology.

I am unsure where this partnership may go, but maybe we will see game streaming come to the UPlay service in the future?
