Microsoft has announced during Gamescom 2021 that the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One will be able to take advantage of Xbox Cloud Gaming this holiday season.

Later this year, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who own an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One will be able to stream games directly from the cloud to their console. It looks like Microsoft is focusing on making this a "try before you download" type feature. Allowing you to play a game through Xbox Cloud Gaming before you spend the time downloading the game.

Microsoft mentions that Xbox Cloud Gaming on the console will support games at a 1080p resolution, with a 60fps cap. Much like Xbox Cloud Gaming for PCs, Phones, and Tablets.

It may be better to download your games if you own an Xbox Series X|S and want to game at a higher resolution or an increased fps cap. But, you can utilize Xbox Cloud Gaming to try a game out if you are unsure about downloading it!

Xbox Cloud Gaming on the console will be available this fall for the Xbox Insider program. However, it is unsure if everyone will be able to access the service or if it will only be rolled out to a select number of gamers at a time.
