Microsoft's cloud gaming service, Xbox Cloud Gaming, part of the Xbox Game Pass, has been in beta in multiple countries for quite some time.

According to an email sent out to Xbox Cloud Gaming Preview participants and applicants, the cloud gaming platform will officially launch in Australia later this year.

With it already being halfway through September, that means that we will likely see it launching within the next few months! That is not too bad of a wait time!

The email, which Microsoft's Phil Spencer sent out, confirms that Xbox Cloud Gaming will launch on iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, and Windows PCs. However, the service will only be accessible by those who hold an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

With Xbox Cloud Gaming in Australia, this opens up another avenue for gamers who may not be able to get their hands on newer hardware because of shortages and costs!

Xbox Cloud Gaming will let these users stream games directly to their devices utilizing the Xbox Game Pass app on mobile devices or the Xbox App on Windows PCs. Since the games are running on Microsoft's custom Xbox servers, users are required to have a stable internet connection; otherwise, their experience may not be the greatest!

It is good to see cloud gaming continuing to expand to other areas of the world. Especially during this time of chip shortages and great difficulties with obtaining hardware!
