The next expansion of World of Warcraft has been delayed. Shadowlands was initially slated to be released at the end of this month. However, Blizzard has announced that the expansion will be released "later this year."
The announcement comes in the form of a Twitter post and a blog post from executive producer John Hight.
It looks like the difficulties caused by the switch to working from home because of the pandemic finally took its toll on the massively popular MMORPG. The need to delay the launch is to polish up the expansion before it is released to the masses. This was a decision that was made after players have expressed their feelings about the endgame for Shadowlands.
Blizzard decided to make this difficult decision to delay the launch date until an unknown date later this year.
Do you agree with Blizzard's decision?
